Welcome to the Guild, Or as we like to call it the Symphonic Band which is the Advanced Band of the EMMMS band program.
Students in this Course are comprised of a group of students under rigorous and high performance standards. Students learn to master all of the scales required for All State Band and are tested on a weekly basis on memorization and performance competency. Students are engaged in daily notation, vocabulary, and rhythmic formations to enhance the individualistic performance and ability level of each player that contributes to the unity of the Symphonic Band. The Symphonic Bands performs on average of 10 times throughout the year in the community, state, festivals, and amusement park. Students are required to maintain responsibility, respect, trust, performance requirements, instrumentation, and master scales and rudiments to maintain good standing in the Guild. Students are selected based on all of these traits in order to become a member of the Guild/Symphonic Band.
Attire: Students in this group not only have the band polo shirt but will perform at competitions and other community performances in formal wear. The forms will be presented the first week of school.
