East Millbrook Magnet Middle School Band & Chorus Busch Gardens Trip 2019 April 12-13, 2019, Friday, Saturday
Details: Guild + Intermediate Band & Chorus students will travel to Virginia and compete in a judged Musical Competition. After the competition students will spend the evening on the ‘Spirit of Norfolk’ Cruise, Stay overnight, and Saturday in the Amusement Park walking with Wake County approved chaperones in groups. Students are not permitted to ride on the water rides.
Price includes all of the following in the package:
55 passenger CHARTER BUS
TV, DVD players, outlets, & a restroom are on the bus.
Band Competition with Fiestaval’, Professional judges, comments, and awards.
Evening Starlit Cruise on “Spirit of Norfolk” (included)in the bay of Virginia. Dancing, games, and Gourmet 3 course buffet dinner.
Hotel room, 4 students to a room (no adults with kids) (2 adults per room-adults may pay extra for a single room)
Hot Breakfast in Hotel Lobby.
Busch Gardens all day pass in the park.
Parents we need you! Safety is number one! Chaperones are defined as adults who assist with the trip and help monitor students. We will need 2 chaperones for each group of students.(6-12 students). Students may choose their parents for their group. If Chaperones drive separately-they may purchase shirts. Chaperones may drive separate but no change in price.
No refunds will be returned after December 1.
Payments made be paid online on OSP by credit card.
Checks can be made payable to EMMMS. Please put your child’s name on check. Receipts will be given for every payment made at the time of payment.
There will be fundraisers to help out the students. One of the fundraisers will be 100% all of your child’s profit. (Music-a-Thon) The other fundraisers are helping keep the cost down to the price it currently has been set.
Students: Students must be capable of performing/competing and follow class rules and follow procedures, rules, and be responsible. There may be a few rehearsals to prepare after school.
What if you cannot afford the trip? 1. Get a sponsor application from Mrs. Murphy or Mr. McNeill. The Sponsor application states that applications for the trip are accepted up to October 31st. Students must participate in all fundraisers, and that partial and full scholarships will be awarded determining the order in which they are received. All efforts will be put forth to assist students
Cost: 1. The cost for students is $350 per person. 2. The cost for chaperones/adults is $250 per person. 3. Deposits of $100 (minimum) is due anytime starting now up to November 21 to reserve your seat. (student deposit). Parent Deposits $100.
Payment Schedule: Plan A: Pay full amount per student $350 by November 21. ( Any money raised at Music-a-Thon becomes spending money and is given to the student 2 days before the trip)
Plan B: Pay Deposit of $125 by November 13, Pay $125 Jan. 15, Pay $100 February 28. Plan C: Pay $100 on November 21 Pay $50 on December 1, Pay $50 on January 1, Pay $50 on January 15, Pay $50 on February 1 Pay $50 on February 28
